Jon Spencer, Matt Verta-Ray deliver some wicked rockabilly music

GUTTER BALLS: Jon Spencer (Blues Explosion) and Matt Verta-Ray (Speedball Baby) turn into grease-ball rockabillies Heavy Trash (Yep Roc) - and we say, pile it on. Think Jerry Lee Lewis, the Big Bopper, Southern Culture on the Skids and Mojo Nixon rolled into one, as these guys serve up wicked (and wickedly funny) lyrical yarns and enough tremolo guitar blasts to bust up a trailer park. "Lover Street," a backhanded compliment to a whoring mama, is alone worth the admission price. Grade: A-
