High Tension Wires is an all star Texas band featuring Mike Wiebe (Riverboat Gamblers), Mark Ryan (Marked Men), Chris Pulliam (The Reds), and Mike Throneberry (Marked Men, who on this album replaces Jeff Burke, also of the Marked Men). Since releasing their debut album on Dirtnap in March '05, members of High Tension Wires have been keeping quite busy: Riverboat Gamblers signed to Volcom and have been touring like crazy with the likes of Against Me, The Bronx, X (!), the Warped Tour etc etc. Marked Men left Dirtnap (boo!) for the greener pastures of Swami Records (John Reis of Rocket From The Crypt fame) and released the very well received Fix My Brain LP/CD, followed by tons of touring. Bassist Chris Pulliam moved back to Texas from Japan, thereby allowing High Tension Wires to (gasp) play some shows in Texas, for the first time ever. MTV then licensed several tracks from the Take A Message LP for their Rob and Big Show. Now, after numerous delays owing to the band members' busy schedules and Dirtnap's general incompetence, High Tension Wires finally release their long awaited follow up album. Midnight Cashier finds the band moving in a slightly darker, weirder, more diverse direction while keeping their tightly wound punchy 77 style punk intact. You're going to love this record, we swear! Vinyl.
