Golem: Homesick Songs
![]()
Golem is a young, hip, widely acclaimed Klezmer band based in New York City that transforms the music of its Jewish grandparents, making it modern, edgy, sexy, and brash. “Homesick Songs” is a musical romp through Eastern Europe and beyond. Each track on the album evokes old-world cities, towns, and countries longed for by homesick Jewish immigrants: Odessa, Rumenye (Romania), Nikolayez, Belz, Bukovina and Bialystok. The album also features wild gypsy songs that founding member Annette learned during her travels in Serbia (ex-Yugoslavia), Russia and Ukraine. Standard Jewel Case.
