“Learn Yourself” is the second album from The Beautiful Girls who are at the forefront of the Australian roots movement. “Learn Yourself” is packed with tunes that are filtered through the warmth of the sun and the sand. They incorporate elements as diverse as the sublime rhythms of the recent Californian (particularly Long Beach), crew to the melodic and contemplative nature of Nick Drake. Too much of either to be the other, “Learn Yourself” is the sound of a distinct band. It is raw.
