In its annual “Best of LA” issue (August, 2005), Los Angeles Magazine has named Zedtone artist Eleni Mandell as “Best Local Singer.” Here is their salutation:

She sings “I Love Paris” on Paris Hilton’s lewd Carl Jr. commercial, but hot ELENI MANDELL is not. She’s one of the coolest singers to ever call Los Angeles home. Her voice lazily honing a lyric down to its essence. Mandell sings everything from jazz to new wave but sounds best when a little twang floats in on a breeze and a trace of country underscores her ineffable sense of drift.
