When Demon City Wreckers frontman Jason Mashburn passed away in the summer of 2006, it was quickly apparent how many people cared for Jason--from his family and friends to his bandmates and fans. Two benefit concerts were held in Demon City Wreckers' hometown of Tucson, AZ to help Jason's widow RUby take care of some bills and medical expenses. Around the same time, the idea of recording some songs for a tribute album to Jason was discussed and soon organized. A collection of psychobilly and punk bands who had friendships with Jason came together to contribute songs for the project which became known as "For Blood."
Koffin Kats, Starlite Wranglers, Left for Dead (featuring former members of Demon City Wreckers) and many more contribute previously unreleased tracks to the benefit comp that also includes the last song ever recorded by Jason Mashburn and Demon City Wreckers.
Proceeds from the sale of the tribute album benefit Jason's widow Ruby.
