Martin Sexton
In 2007 Sexton logged his most successful year to date with the release of his latest studio offering, Seeds. Upon the record’s release an episode of NBC’s “Scrubs” featured the track “Diner” while Sexton mounted a dynamic return to New York City’s Roseland Ballroom (capacity 3,500) and the single “Happy” reached #1 on Billboard’s AAA charts. Of his latest studio effort, Time Out New York praises Sexton’s “shamelessly soaring high notes” and the Los Angeles Times writes, “Call him a soul shouter, a road poet, a folkie or a rocker and you wouldn’t be wrong.”
On the heels of Seeds Sexton is set to release his first solo live offering, the two-disc Solo, due out October 2008. Documenting a series of recent unaccompanied live appearances, the album captures the singer-songwriter’s critically acclaimed incendiary live set in theatres coast-to-coast.
