Disc one is a round-up of Jason's best material. Here, everything from Scorchers tracks to his solo work is re-worked and remastered, much of it seeing the light of day for the first time in this set. Guests from throughout the underground icon's career make appearances including the legendary Steve Earle. Disc two is a carefully selected offering of rarities curated by Jason himself. The disc features tracks dating back to his pre-Scorchers band Shakespeare's Riot, as well as unreleased material from Ringenberg's personal vault. Says Jason of the set, "My goal for this package was to present as ambitiously as possible the full range of my solo efforts for the past 30 years. I do think we succeeded in doing that. I almost went crazy sorting through all that material. I don't think I will want to listen to me again for quite some time!" |
