Jason Ringenberg: A Pocketful Of Soul
![]()
Nashville-based Jason Ringenberg is best known as the leader of Nashville's Jason & The Scorchers. Beginning in the mid 80s, their trademark brand of 'cowpunk' (as it was then deemed by critics) combined tough garage intensity, a sense of style and humor, and an instinctive familiarity with the roots behind rock & roll brought them international critical acclaim, a loyal following, and real commercial success. A Pocketful Of Soul is Ringenberg's second solo disc, after an early 90s release for EMI/Capitol, and a Scorchers reunion disc for Mammoth Records later in the decade.
