First released in 1986, Don Dixon's debut solo album, Most Of The Girls Like To Dance But Only Some Of the Boys Like To, included several years worth of vault raiding - songs were recorded between 1981 and 1985. With Most Of The Girls, Dixon established himself as more than just an American rock cult figure. The single Praying Mantis was a hit at AOR radio and made the top ten on the college radio charts, and gave Dixon (a longtime Chapel Hill resident who now lives with his wife, singer Marti Jones, in Canton, Ohio) the credibility as an artist that he had already established as a producer.
