The New Yorker covers Sloan at SummerStage

Sloan, a quartet originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, has a few things that other indie-rock darlings lack. First, longevity - the band has been around for close to two decades. Second, hits (albeit at home). The four close friends, who frequently swap instruments and rotate songwriting duties, are clearly having a good time turning out power pop, which they do at length on their eighth studio release, Never Hear the End of It.
