Dolorean has booked free shows on the first three Thursdays in February at Dunes in Portland, Oregon. Al James will be unveiling some new songs to appear on the next Dolorean album with the help of a four-piece backing band which will include Ben Nugent on drums, James Adair on bass, The Standard's Jay Clarke on keys, and Holy Sons' Emil Amos on lead guitar. The shows will be a bit wild, raw, and exploratory - everything that the European tour wasn't (i.e. restrained, well-thought out, polished). The hope is to discover the meaning of these new songs while performing them for the first few times onstage. There will be a different opener each night and DJs after the sets designed to keep the "On The Beach"/"One of These Nights"/"Sara Smiles" vibe going until Friday morning.
