Art-rock instrumentalists Saxon shore seemingly faced certain death last year when two founding members bolted, leaving Matt Doty t decide whether or not to carry on. But "The Exquisite Death", a dramatic, 10-song exploration of the group's hypothetical death complete with anger, acoustic tears and moments of silence, is exquisite proof the band is worth resurrecting.
