Charlotte's very own quintessential rock n' roll popster Leisure McCorkle will be in concert at the Visulite Theatere Friday for the world premier of his new band. His fans will also get a sneak preview of what fans can expect from his much-anticipated album "Jet Set Baby," due out nationwide November 5 on MoRisen Records.

With his firebrand flair for delivering the musical goods both on stage and in the studio, McCorkle is ready to knock down the doors to the American Music Club with the release of "Jet Set Baby" his debut album on the Charlotte based MoRisen Records and his fourth overall release. McCorkle is here to deliver everything your ears need to recover from the abuse they're being dealt by the never-ending flow of overproduced studio pop and rock dominating today's musical landscape.

"This record is like when the 70s met the 80s," says McCorkle about "Jet Set Baby." "Back then, people were tired of disco and one hit wonders and they wanted bands that could kick some ass live and write more than one song, a movement that came out of the punk scene and produced something a little more hook laden but also full of big guitars and attitude. The music was progressive but still well defined within the pop paradigm left by the Beatles. That's the kind of music I'm playing and who knows, maybe people are gonna want to listen to it now."

To be sure, with "Jet Set Baby," McCorkle delivers the perfect mix of pure rock guts and power pop glory as he takes listeners on a 12-track euphoric journey through the peaks and valleys of love, life and the American way.
