For over a decade, Southern California’s Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys have combined literate, well-crafted songs with hot-as-a-two-dollar-pistol musicianship with Robert “Big Sandy” Williams’ velvety-smooth vocals to become a favorite both here and abroad.
On Tuesday, July 15, the band will appear on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, where they'll be performing a track, "Chalk It Up to the Blues," from their new debut release on Yep Roc Records, It’s Time (recorded “100 percent live” at Joey’s Place in L.A.), Big Sandy and the Boys prove that - whether they’re playing rockabilly, Western swing, hillbilly boogie or even a Cajun-flavored number – they’re in a class all by themselves.
