A note from Chris Dawson, on Ronnie's battle with mouth cancer:

April 17, 2003.  Dear Friends and Fans; we found out today that Ronnie has not only been accepted into the gene therapy trial program, but that he has also been selected to receive the gene altering injections.  Once again, we have been blessed and his decision to undergo chemotherapy again has been reinforced.  Starting Monday, April 21st, he will receive the first of six to eight rounds of chemotherapy, one every four weeks, and on Tuesday the 22nd will receive the first of three gene altering injections; also given every four weeks.  Our hope is that the growths in his mouth will begin to shrink and that will allow him to begin to eat solid foods again and, ultimately, the hope is that not only will this eradicate the oral malignancy but will also shrink the lesions in his lungs.  We’ve been told that following each injection, he will spike a high temperature for two to three hours.  I will try to keep the site updated as often as possible, but please be patient with me as there will be a lot happening here.  Thank all of you for your prayers, good thoughts and wishes.  You keep us uplifted!
