BBC 1 Radio's John Peel, one of the original promoters of strange and unusual music before there was a recognized alternative scene to promote, has joined Sun Ra on that distant star where musical pioneers go to play their strange distorted riffs unmolested by the Man in the Suit. We at Yep Roc are proud to note the inclusion of Yep Roc artists The Forty-Fives on a salute to Peel put together by Joe Silva at WUGA, Athens titled "Just Off The Radar's tribute to John Peel." The Forty-Fives did their second session with Peel on September 29th, 2004. The tribute will air this Sunday, November 16, at approximately 4pm EST.
