The Sadies have been nominated for Verge's Arist of the Year, and their album New Seasons has been nominated for Verge's Album of the Year. This is the first-ever Verge Music Awards to celebrate Canadian music talent hosted by XM Canada.

The Verge Music Awards will give $50,000 to winners of Album of the Year and Artist of the Year. Voting ends on September 1st 2008 and in conjunction with an XM Jury the winner will be announced on September 24th 2008 at The Tattoo Rock Parlour in Toronto, live-to-air with exciting live performances!
