ACE FU Records Now Distributed by Redeye Distribution in North America.
June 5, 2008 (Haw River, NC) Redeye Distribution is proud to announce that it has entered into a distribution deal for North America with Ace Fu Records. “Ace Fu represents such an important catalog of key artists, we’re extremely excited to be partnering with them.” said Tor Hansen, co-owner of Redeye Distribution. Adds Brian Pearl, Marketing Director for Redeye, “It’s very exciting to work with a company like Ace Fu, who are as dedicated to the sale and distribution of independent music as Redeye is”.
"I'm more than excited to work with Redeye. These guys are enthusiastic and passionate work-horses who are genuine fans of my label," says Eric Speck, the label's owner. "We have been talking for a long time about working together and this is cool that it's finally happening. Redeye kicks ass!" Ace Fu began 9 years ago as a very small hobby-label dedicated to releasing 7" 45rpm records. Since then the label has grown tremendously and released such seminal acts as Pinback, Secret Machines, Man Man, Ted Leo, The Dears, Annuals, Acid Mothers Temple, DeVotchKa and more. Dedicated to finding and developing innovative artists and music, Ace Fu has garnered a tremendous reputation as a taste-making and powerful indie rock label. In recent years such successful efforts like Annuals, DeVotchKa, Illinois, Kaiser Chiefs and more have kept the label revered and respected within the music community. Founded in 1996 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Redeye Distribution has grown from a small regional supplier to an international distributor recognized eight times by the National Association of Record Merchandisers (NARM) as the Distributor of the Year (small division). Redeye Distribution was built with the goal of providing the best possible service to our customers and our distributed labels (such as Luaka Bop, Daptone, Warp, Babygrande, Light In The Attic, Yep Roc, eenie meenie, and Friendly Fire) and artists (including Widespread Panic, Bauhaus, Cake, Public Enemy, The Donnas, and David Byrne) offering a diverse but selective catalog of quality music and a knowledgeable, hard-working, friendly staff who are passionate about getting music into the marketplace. |
