Arena Rock Recording Company inks deal with Redeye

The Arena Rock Recording Company (AARCO) was founded by Greg Glover and Dan Ralph in a hole-in-the-wall on NYC's Lower East Side sometime in the mid 1990's. Arena Rock has established themselves as one of the most respected independent labels in the country, hailing a roster of such artists as: Superdrag, The Autumn Defense, Luna, Calla, Elf Power, Minus The Bear and others.

The label is leaving an exclusive distribution relationship with ADA (Alternative Distribution Alliance) to work with North Carolina based, Redeye Distribution.

Greg Glover comments on the move to Redeye, "'Arena Rock's relationship with Redeye goes back to the early stages of both entities. I was simply looking to get my artists into stores and they were willing to take a chance on us early on.'

'Redeye has promised to give Arena Rock detailed attention no matter whether sales projections are 1,000 or 20,000. I wanted each Arena Rock artist to be treated equally and with Redeye I feel that'll be the case. That's what's important to me as a label owner.'

'I've had a good relationship with anyone who's ever distributed an Arena Rock title. However, I felt that some of my recent options were more like throwing a penny into the ocean rather than the old-fashioned wishing well. Running a label is still a risk but I feel better about our chances now than I ever have. I look forward to having Redeye represent Arena Rock for our North American distribution'
