This Chicago band's newest offering is ten songs written by leader Christian Wargo and performed with analog pop precision by his band of like minded purists. Rather than spending years and dollars at universities to learn the craft of stainless steel tools or test tubes and microscopes, Scientific pines over the formulas to healthy songs working with models presented by other scholars like Stephen Merritt (Magnetic Fields), Neu!, Yo La Tengo, Stereolab, and the VSS..
