Matt Pryor
Matt Pryor is best known as the singer/guitarist fromThe Get Up Kids, and via other projects New Amsterdams and the Terrible Twos. He also released a solo album Confidence Man in 2008 via Vagrant. Pryor also heads out annually on the "Where's the Band?" tour with singers from Saves the Day, Bayside, etc (where they play solo acoustic). ready to become an actual 'album' -- my second solo record. This is Pryor's second solo album 0 called May Day as it was conceived, written, record and funded all within the month of May in 2011, while the Get Up Kids were taking some downtime.
The album was financed with an incredibly successful Kickstarter campaign - which hit its target within 4 days of launch, and ended up raising over double the intended figure. Touring is on the cards to support May Day - both a series of house shows (extending the fan involvement aspect of the project) and then an extensive national 'Where's the Band' set of dates around release date.
