On “Barnstormin’ Live, Volume 1", Little Feat tried a new, experimental approach to making a live record. Drawing from 2004's Barnstormin' tour, they blended recordings from the front-of-house mix, audience tapes, and the onstage monitor mix, and the results, according to front man Paul Barrere, " worked like a charm." Barnstormin' Live is a collection of ten songs specifically chosen from different venues over last year's tour. It contains some rarely recorded Little Feat classics along with some first-time live recordings from their last studio release, "Kickin' It At The Barn." Digital technology has captured the live experience as never before, with multi tracking capabilities making "Barnstomin' Live" a truly unique recording that fans are sure to love.
