Nashville-born, New York-based performer & radio personality Laura Cantrell has developed a loyal international following with the release of her two Diesel Only albums, Not the Tremblin' Kind and When the Roses Bloom Again, and longrunning "Radio Thrift Shop," which airs on the legendary NYC free-form station WFMU. Her unlikely fans include BBC deejay John Peel, who called her first album "my favourite record of the last ten years and possibly my life," and Elvis Costello, who hand-picked Laura to open 17 U.S. dates in 2002, and said "if Kitty Wells made 'Rubber Soul' it would sound like Laura Cantrell."
