With a move to Boston, and newly found creative energy, singer/songwriter Steve Smith has made a radical departure from his dance music roots, to create his first solo album. "This Town" is an exploration in influences; early 80’s Northern England post punk, traditional Americana, classic indie pop, 70’s pub rock. Two bonus tracks are also featured �" a previously unreleased, acoustic version of the Grammy Award winning Dirty Vegas track “Days Go By” (on the first pressing only), and a new song called “Late Nights and Street Fights”, which was chosen to be the main title theme for the FOX TV hit series, "Standoff."
