From Down Under to all over: Finn calls the road his home

Although he was born in Australia, grew up in New Zealand and moved to London as a young man, Liam Finn has been a fixture in the Bay Area of late.

After performing here last summer with his father's band, Crowded House, Finn returned for a showcase at San Francisco's Make-Out Room in October to promote the pending U.S. release of his solo debut, I'll Be Lightning. Friday, Finn will bring a van full of instruments to the Bay Area for a show at Bottom of the Hill, and next month he will play two shows in the area with old family friend Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam.
