New Peter Case Album Lauded by Critics

September 5, 2007 (Chapel Hill, NC)

As a result of its authenticity, dry wit and starkly direct approach, Peter Case's latest album Let Us Now Praise Sleepy John has garnered critical acclaim unlike any America's golden troubadour has seen before. The response has been truly overwhelming for the humble singer/songwriter who came to San Francisco at age fifteen with a ragged Gibson LG-2 and a thirst not for musical stardom, but for good songs and authentic experience. These dreams are also laid out with wide-eyed wonder in the recently published As Far As You Can Get Without a Passport, part one of Peter's upcoming four- part memoir. Peter says of his recent success, "This is the album my fans have always wanted me to make and I'm just happy that it seems to be connecting with people in such a significant way."
