Bio :Jenny Hoyston/Paradise Island Biography

Jenny Hoyston/Paradise Island creates songs and soundscapes on a 4Track recorder with the barest elements: voice, toy drum machines, ukulele, guitar, thumb piano...
Live solo shows are spontaneous and varied. Delicate, acoustic gospel/folk sets showcase the soulful, textured voice you don't hear in Erase Errata. Electronic noise-groove sets feel other-worldly, especially when Hoyston employs strobe lights, costumes along with her deadpan delivery.
Jenny Hoyston/Paradise Island has toured North America and Western Europe, sharing bills with Kim Gordon, The Gossip, XBXRX, Devendra Barnhart, Tracy & the Plastics, Gravytrain and other greats.
Hoyston's other musical projects include Erase Errata (vocals, trumpet, guitar), California Lightening (vocals, guitar) and Anxious Rats (vocals w/ Kim Gordon). She guest sings and/or trumpets on records by the King Cobra, XBXRX, K.I.T., Hawnay Troof, Zonetech, C.L.A.W.S. and others.
Jenny Hoyston was born and raised in Texas and lives in San Francisco, CA.
