The Washington Post reviews Spencer Dickinson

Several years ago, New York noise-rocker Jon Spencer of the Blues Explosion got together with Luther and Cody Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars to kick out the jams. The north-south summit resulted in some glorious noise: A raucous, occasionally funky blues-punk album, Spencer Dickinson, that was released in Japan in 2001. Five years later, the CD has finally surfaced stateside with an expanded track list and a new name, The Man Who Lives for Love. The project was a one-off collaboration, but Spencer and the Dickinson brothers are reuniting for a handful of live dates, including one Saturday at the 9:30 club. You'll get a double dose of the brothers Dickinson as their set with Spencer will be followed by a longer, jam-bandier one from NMA."
