AMERICAN PRINCES CONFIRM FALL TOUR DATES!
For Immediate Release
November 4, 2005 WITH THEIR YEP ROC RECORDS DEBUT LITTLE SPACES IN STORES, AMERICAN PRINCES CONFIRM TOUR DATES "American Princes bring rock 'n' roll salvation..." -- Punk Planet Beginning December 1 in Nashville, TN American Princes kick off an eastern tour of the U.S. in support of their new release Little Spaces. The album was recorded in the winter of 2004 when the band returned to their hometown of Little Rock, AR after spending a year in New York City following college. The 11 earnest tracks include the classic indie rock stylings of the title track as well as emotionally dramatic numbers like "Providence, R.I." Harp Magazine raves about the music's "...thorny riffs and askew harmonies" adding "these boys turn "Rock 'n' Roll Singer" and "The Sun Never Sets" into blissed-out anthems," and "...the group is aggressive, spirited and woozy--so it's hard not to love 'em." About the album's genesis singer/guitarist David Slade says, "This record is about our home town. Little Rock shaped us and informed so much of how we do things and why we do them. This is a place where, growing up, you had to make your own fun, and so it bred this group of kids who were really creative and driven." Yep Roc Records label president Glenn Dicker was so impressed by the recording, he looked the band up on the internet and reached out to them. Shortly thereafter, he signed the band and re-released Little Spaces. He says, "During the first phone call, I knew these guys had the right attitude." Next, he went to see the band live at a small club in Chapel Hill, NC. Glenn adds, "They seemed to really get the hard work...it wasn't all just blind ambition. They loved what they were doing and their onstage energy demonstrated how into it they were." American Princes are David Slade (Rhythm Guitar, Vocals), Collins Kilgore (Lead Guitar, Keyboards and Vocals), Matt Quin (drums) and Luke Hunsicker (bass). They have begun recording their follow up album with producer Alan Weatherhead (Sparklehorse, The Comas) at Sound of Music Studios in Richmond, VA.
