The Quarter After

Debut long player from psychedelic pop mavens, The Quarter After, who hail from Los Angeles, although their music has more to do with the spirit of Northern California's New Paisley Underground than L.A.'s hyperbolic rock scene. The Quarter After offer bewitching psychedelic popsongs that shine with an obvious love for the classic sounds of The Kinks, The Byrds, and The Beatles, and contemporaries like The Tyde, Beachwood Sparks, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre (if and when they remember to take their prescription meds). Expect soaring vocal harmonies confronted head on by a searing, full-frontal guitar assault.
Alternative Press described The Quarter After as: “A fusion of dreamy ‘60s folk-pop melodies, reminiscent of the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and a few lesser known Sunset Strip bands”.
Bird Song is the new label imprint created by Velvet Crush and Action Musik founder Ric Menck.
Produced by Rob Campanella [Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Tyde, Mia Doi Todd].
On tour in July with THE BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE
