Formed in 2001 by guitarist/vocalist Hope Diamond and bassist/vocalist Liz Lixx, Thee Minks burst out of the garage and onto the stage, snapping up prime slots playing alongside the likes of Dick Dale, The Dirtbombs, The Downbeat 5, Shonen Knife, The Woggles, and Yeah, Yeah, Yeah's, and steaming up bar windows up and down the East Coast with their infectious Ronettes-meets-the-Ramones-by-way-of-Radio-Birdman stomp.
After going through the standard and expected round of drummer problems, Thee Minks solidified their line-up in 2004 with the addition of Hostile City drum whore extraordinaire The Playthang, who augmented their sound with his titanic drum thrills and bombastic chortling.
