The self-styled ‘gothic-punk-country’ duo from Chicago quickly follow up last year’s Heaven & Dirt double EP (“Celebrations of beautiful sadness” Plan B) with their 4th album, and most immediate album, “I Was A Swallow.”

After their exhausting re-creation of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre over the last couple of years and fuelled by a burning desire to record an album that they can re-create live, potty-mouthed catwoman Christa Meyer and brooding sidekick Tim Kelley return with a stripped down, back to basics approach akin to their earlier work. ‘I Will Know’, ‘Twilight’ and ‘Gone’ are some of the many highlights on an accomplished offering that
also includes two covers in the form of the Nina Simone fronted ‘Be My Husband’ & Donovan’s ‘I Like You.’
