In 1976, Jeff Dahl bought his first guitar, learned a few chords and wrote his first songs. Those recordings were released in early 1977 by the DC label Doodley Squat, who dubbed it one of the first US "Punk Rock" records. In Dahl's first review, seminal hipster mag Trouser Press called him a "Grade Z ding dong." In the ensuing three decades, Dahl has continued to defy the critics, garnering an ever-growing legion of fans. Battered Stuff, his latest CD, is his 22nd solo effort. Dahl plays every instrument on the album. Over its nine tracks, Battered Stuff chauffeurs you through a rough and tumble but sweet and sexy ride down the musical highway. Standard Jewel Case.
